OUR STORY
The year was 2015. Kaitlyn was an Interior Design major at the University of Georgia, and Aulden was in his third year on the football team. Mutual friends had briefly connected them, and on September 19, they planned to meet in downtown Athens after a football game.
Their rendezvous turned into a lighthearted chase. Kaitlyn would send Aulden a location, but by the time he made it there, she was already off to the next spot. After two… three… four attempts to find her, their paths finally crossed on College Avenue. Once their eyes met, they both knew the moment was something special.
In the initial months and years following, and with the addition of a German Shepherd named Scarlett, their relationship grew. After football practice and study hall, Aulden would pick up pizzas for Kaitlyn and the girls in Barrow Hall while they pulled all-nighters. Kaitlyn followed Aulden around the country, traveling to football games in Jacksonville, Knoxville, Auburn, Atlanta, and even Pasadena.
Following graduation, they moved to Kaitlyn’s hometown of Marietta. The lively weekends in downtown Athens changed to cherished evenings on the Marietta Square or quiet mornings getting coffee and taking Scarlett to the dog park. Nearly a decade later, they now eagerly look forward to this new chapter as husband and wife.
